Character: Ms. Marvel Comic: Avengers Artistic Influence: Frank Cho Photographer Credit: Pete Tsai
About the Costume: I really wanted to try and mimic the leather-like look Cho gave Ms. Marvel during his run penciling New Avengers, but I wanted it to be stretchy. I wound up using black wet-look spandex, a very vibrant golden yellow, and red silk satin for the sash. Now that I have a bodyform made of my body, I may remake this costume with actual leather, someday. The mask is made out of latex, adhered with toupee tape, and made by my friend Mike Schiffbauer. I created and styled the wig - it has a lot of va-va-voom and a good number of extensions.
About the Picture: This could very well be the best convention-floor shot I've ever had taken! This was at C2E2 2011 and I had just been wondering where to go next since I had reached the other end of the convention hall. Just as the phone rang, I was approached for this pic - lurking in the shadows there is Nick Fury, answering the phone. This picture makes me feel like I should create a more fantastic story regarding where and when it was taken.
So I just saw all of your outfits, I don't cosplay, but I would deff wear anything you make. You do everything so well, it actually looks so fun! Some friends and I always talked about it but we never got around to do it. Anyways, you look great in all of your stuff!
